If it isn’t Practical - It isn’t Going to Last

Everyday that goes by; there are people all over tarnation joining gyms.

Yet for the most part, most of these same people don't go and just end up making the gyms richer month after month.

Now I know I’m stating the obvious here, but let me really break this down and tell you why this happens.

There could be a number of reasons people quit going to a gym.  It’s possible they…

…Have not planned their fitness goals properly.
…Aren’t seeing results fast enough.
…Have failed to receive proper instruction and guidance.
…Are embarrassed to work out in front of other people.
…Aren’t motivated or serious about getting into shape.
…Are too busy with their work, kids or pretty much anything.

And on and on.  But I think above all else, the number one reason people’s moola falls victim to the gym shredder is because gyms are just plain old INCOVENIENT.

And if something is inconvenient or impractical, chances are good you won’t do it or its not going to last.  And this is regardless of any of the reasons I just mentioned.

If you need to add twenty to thirty minutes (could be more) to your workout schedule, just to travel to a gym without even working out, how is that appealing?

Not only that, but because gyms are ridiculously crowded, you might as well tack on an additional twenty minutes just for waiting around.

So that’s roughly 45 minutes of your precious time that is wasted all in attempt to exercise without actually doing it.

Well, I’m here to tell you, it doesn’t have to be this way.

For years I have been helping my clients with training that epitomizes convenient and practical.

This training takes place in the comfort and privacy of your own home and requires nothing more than your own body weight and simple, portable equipment.

And very, very, very soon ‘this training’ will soon be available to YOU.

It is a course I’ve been endlessly working on for the past 6 months called  “The In-Home Personal Trainer” which at this point, I’m sure you’re VERY, VERY aware of.

But if not, well, let me just say that if you’ve ever wanted to hire a personal trainer but couldn't afford it, this program will be the closest simulation ever created.

You will never need to step foot in a noisy, smelly gym ever again.

I wish it was ready for you, but I’m still tying up some loose ends, so you’ll have to wait a little longer.  Hang in there. : )

I’m very excited about the final release of this program and I look forward to changing your life with it.  But until then, keep training hard and being healthy.

Have a great day.

Which Client Are You?

I used to be a big believer of the saying "Information is Power" and while I still think this phrase holds true...it's incomplete.

Information is just information, but it's ONLY powerful if one, it's applied, and two (most importantly), there is a burning desire behind it. The greater the desire...the greater your success will be.

Some people will typically learn the information they need to know, but at the end of the day, will never actually use it and accomplish what they want in life. Others will in fact, apply what they have learned, yet still will not be content and attain the end-result they're looking for.

It's only the individuals who utilize information WITH a strong sense of desire that truly experience infinite happiness and the abundant success they want.

For instance, my company works with three types of clients.

There's client # 1, who doesn't train hard during sessions. Doesn't follow the cardio and nutritional programs we give them. Isn't serious and cancels frequently. Learns what we teach them, but does not apply it and consequently, wastes their money. These clients have no desire.

Then there's client # 2, who does train hard during sessions. Does follow the cardio and nutritional programs we give them. Is serious and never cancels sessions. Follows what we teach, applies it and gets results...BUT, there's one big problem...

After they end their training with us, and we are no longer part of the equation for helping them with their fitness program, they return to their unhealthy ways. This leads to them becoming out of shape and/or regaining their original weight back.

So even though they applied the information we gave them during the training, they don't have the willingness to maintain it. Essentially, the information they were taught is deemed worthless because their desire just isn't strong enough.

Finally, there's client # 3, who is basically the same as client #2, however, there's one HUGE difference...

Client # 3 understands that personal training is an investment and does not use the tired excuse, "I don't have the motivation and/or will-power to train hard and eat well by myself once the training is over."

Client # 3 comprehends that being fit requires hard work and is willing to overcome any and all obstacles to achieve the success they want. These proud individuals not only apply the information they're given, get awesome results with their program, but also, they vividly grasp the most important concept of all...Fitness and health is a LIFESTYLE!

Client # 3 knows what they want, and is determined to get it. They are the true definition of DESIRE.

Now, if YOU reading this right now just so happen to be classified as client # 1 or client # 2...Don't get all huffy and puffy on me...Do something about it! Make the change to-day!

You are ONLY limited by your desire to achieve the fitness level you want. You're only given one body in this lifetime. Treat it like the sacred temple it was designed to be.

Excuses you may have or problems that may present themselves along the way have NOTHING to do with the intensity of your desire.

You too can follow in client # 3's footsteps, but only if you make the conscious decision that fulfilling your fitness goals is a priority and will do whatever it takes to make them a reality.

Have a great week!

Live Life with Passion

I truly believe to succeed at the game of life you need to be passionate.

No matter what you’re talking about - everything involves some type of passion.

From the profession you’re in, your relationships, your fitness/health program, your special interests...you name it...if you’re NOT passionate about it, you’re not going to live a very fulfilling life.

Now I know this is something you hear time and time again, yet there are so many people that live their life void of passion.  They live it with no emotion, no enthusiasm, no energy, no excitement.

And this is the same reason; they’re always unhappy and in a bad mood, unhealthy, unsuccessful with their profession, constantly fighting with their significant other and friends, neglecting their children and so forth.

If you’re not passionate about ONE particular area in your life...it can have huge impact on everything else.

I think without a doubt, the 3 BIGGIES are - your health, your relationships and your profession.  I for one, can definitely attest to this.

I used to not be passionate about the profession I was in and this essentially made me not care about my health and made every relationship I was in suffer because I had no self-confidence or lack thereof.

Now, I AM passionate about my profession which has helped me attract the woman of my dreams and inspires me to regularly workout and be in the best shape of my life.

No passion leads to always being distracted, which leads to lack of mental focus, which leads to no drive, which leads to lack of interest and procrastination...all of which will not help you in your life.

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase.."If you’re passionate and love what you do, success will follow.”  Well this saying is right on.

And even though it may be a little more slanted toward your profession, I believe “relationships” and “health” can be modeled in the same way.  Each one is interrelated.

So start living life with passion my friend.  Life’s too short NOT to!

Have a great day and until next time train hard and train smart.

How My Wife Got Super-Fit

I was having dinner with Brighid last night and we started to reminisce when we first met.

If you don’t already know, she used to be one of my clients.  That however was short-lived because as you can imagine, being a personal trainer/boyfriend do not really go together.

Once she started to laugh at me when I would say things like “C’mon honey, you can do it…one more set.”  I knew it was all over.  Telling HER what to do wasn’t going to happen and she quickly fired me. :)

Anyway, when we first met, which was about 4 years ago, Brighid was 40 pounds heavier and her body fat was about 15 percent higher than it is today.

And even though she had dropped about 40 pounds over 3 years, basically by doing intense cardio and eating properly, her body didn’t start to REALLY change until late last year, about 8 months prior to our wedding when I finally convinced her to work with one of my trainers.

From that point on, she consistently stuck to a strength training routine 3x a week…every week.  And since then, has dropped well over 10 percent body fat and she is in the best shape of her life.

Not only that, her mood has improved, which to me, is HUGE.

She has more energy.  She’s the strongest she’s ever been (can do 120 push-ups per session!) She sleeps better.  She does better in her profession.

She constantly buys new clothes for herself whereas before she would complain that she couldn’t fit into the ones she wanted.  (I don't know if this is so good) She’s much more goal-oriented.  She’s always happy.  I could keep going...

There are so many things that have improved all because she simply incorporated regular strength training into her life.  She's a completely different person.

YOU can do the same.

Sure, you can hire one of my awesome trainers like Brighid did by going here - http://www.fitnessandresults.com/free_consultation.php, but I’ve got something that’s EVEN better...or pretty doggone close.

I’m putting the finishing touches on my all-new program called the “The In-Home Personal Trainer.”

And while I don’t want to spoil all the life-changing details for you…let me just say that this program will be the first product ever released in the history of the fitness industry that simulates hiring a personal trainer (ME) to the closest degree possible.

There will be NOTHING like it.

Yes, I know that’s a bold statement…but you’ll SOON discover why…so stay tuned my friend.

Have a great day and until next time...train hard - train smart!

If They Love You...They'll Make Changes

One of the keys to achieving your fitness goals is surrounding yourself with people who have the same desires, wants and goals as you do.

One of the reasons I married my wife, Brighid, is because she is a fitness and health conscious person like I am.

Regardless of whether I’m a fitness professional or not, I know that being with someone who bestows these qualities will help me stay on track with not only staying in tip-top shape myself but also teaching and motivating others to do the same.

I don’t think I’d feel very comfortable sending out a weekly newsletter/blog when at the same time, my very own wife wasn’t working out regularly or eating junk food all the time.  That would be very hypocritical.

Now, you reading this right now may not be married or have a girlfriend/boyfriend.

Even so, this still applies to you.  When you want to get into great shape, you have to surround yourself with a support system for success, otherwise, you’re gonna be dead in the water.  So this is true with your friends or co-workers.

If all they do is complain, piss and moan about how they always wish they were in better shape, but simultaneously, don’t do anything about it, this is going to make YOU feel the same way and consequently…make your chances for success dismal.

Now, I’m not saying you can’t go it alone.  You can.

Many of my best clients I have trained in the past have in fact been very successful losing weight and/or achieving their fitness goals whether their significant others or friends did the same or not.

But still, this doesn’t mean this made it any easier on them.  And I should also say that to my knowledge, I’m not sure that these individuals are staying on track or NOT since I am no longer training them.

I’m pretty certain that many are, but the ones who aren’t, I GUARANTEE it’s because the people they’re close to or surround themselves with are not on the same page when it comes to being healthy.

Remember, and I’ll say this again and again and again.  Being healthy and fit is something you maintain for L-I-F-E.  It doesn’t going away like some worthless trend.

If you’re confining yourself with people who don’t get this point, it’s gonna make it very difficult for you to not only get into shape but also, maintain it.

Why keep going back and forth with your fitness goals?  Why not stay in kick-butt shape – permanently.

If you start to change your support system and surround yourself with winners…that’s essentially who you’ll start resemble.

Now this is not to say divorce your husband/wife or dump your friends.  No.  It means let them know that fitness and health is IMPORTANT to you.  Let them know how serious you are.  If they really love and support you, they’ll start to make changes.
